The role of logistics operative is both varied and demanding; covering a host of responsibilities that collectively represent the key tasks that are critical to our daily operation. The elements covered will be assigned by the Shift Manager to offer opportunities to enhance employee skill sets as well as create robust business contingencies.

Hours: 9:00 am- 5:00 pm

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role has the responsibility for reviewing daily transactional data through the Sirius system and managing the Palletways ADR process. Support shall be given to the finance time to deliver financial reporting and management of the company’s position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Transactional analysis of all Sirius data
  • Ensure accurate cost attribution to actual activity
  • Update the Palletways portal with review findings
  • Liaising/communicating with Palletways and other depots regarding query identification and resolution of external activity i.e deliveries made by other depots
  • Communicating with other depots regarding delivery discrepancies caused by internal activity i.e. deliveries made by GWT
  • Reviewing Palletways bills to ensure accurate charging
  • Ad-hoc reporting to help the business understand performance and make informed decisions
  • Manage and review GIT insurance claims for all customers
  • Supporting finance team with any ad hoc duties
