Walkers Transport launch new website!
Welcome to the new Walkers Transport website. We've updated our site to demonstrate our latest vehicles, services and facilities and made it easier for our existing customers to place orders and manage their PODs via our secure, online booking system.

Summer 2004
We are pleased to confirm that Eurotrail Trucks in Leeds will supply Walkers Transport with 4 New Leyland Daf 44ft artics which will be on the road by the 1st June this year. A further 4 vehicles will be added to our fleet in September.
The new vehicles form part of our ongoing program of expansion.
We have also replaced our old racking system with a new state of the art narrow isle double deep racking system increasing our racked storage capacity to 4,000 pallet locations and we have added two new state of the art Flexi Narrow isle lift trucks with camera mounted extending forks to ensure all customers' products are handled with care.

Spring 2003: George Walker Transport On the Move
George Walker Transport has moved from their site in Stourton to a new 60,000ft, purpose built distribution centre in Morley.
The new site covers 6 acres of land and incorporates 24 loading docks and provides parking for 150 trailers.
George Walker Transport has bought the distribution centre to satisfy the increasing demand for their logistics services.
Spring 2002: New Customer Service Department Unveiled
Due to our continued improvement & expansion programme we are proud to announce the launch of our Customer Services Department. Fronted by Stuart Perry and assisted by Hannah Brown & Sarah Wrigglesworth. Our goal is to provide the slickest collection & delivery services possible. With our current daily pallet volumes now in excess of 2000 we are keen to show our current & potential customers that there is an ultra efficient, one-stop-shop here on their doorstep.
We can confidently offer any quantity of pallets to any UK postcode every working day.
To achieve this, we have ensured, we have the right people to manage every area of our business.
The new department primarily receives bookings for our extensive, shared user network. Upon receipt of an order we ring the customer to confirm all the necessary details and apply a collection reference. This eliminates any unnecessary telephone calls for you, the customer, as we will advise you on a collection time directly. The department offers a dual benefit to our company, as it also enables the Traffic team to have more time to plan routes and maximize performance levels.
