Took the plunge and outsourced their warehousing.
The Katz Group is a global brand operator leading the world in coaster design and manufacture. When our lease was due to run out at our stockholding facility we saw an opportunity for us to save money by outsourcing our storage and distribution to Walkers Transport. We looked at other companies but were immediately impressed by the facilities offered, the professionalism and knowledge of their Management Team. They listened to our requirements and explained clearly what they needed from us to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Once we had decided to move our stock to Walkers we agreed the final moving date would be between Christmas and New Year. Janet Ingram (Customer Service Manager) and Chris Burley (Warehouse Manager) took control and by the New Year everything was in, quality checked and accounted for with detailed and accurate stock figures. They also advised us on some best practice methods to get the most from the system, such as labelling, paperwork and
coding.
We are now free to concentrate on growing our business safe in the knowledge that the warehousing and distribution is something we don’t need to worry about.
